Last time I heard something from Gonzales was probably 3 years ago, and now apparently he’s working on a new album. Here’s a teaser from his upcoming album, and a little mp3 from his new stuff. There’s some interview about it here.
Heard the news that Suharto died. He had a.. uhm a long “regime” going on in Indonesia. So some loose or well not so loose associations brought me to this video.

M/M Paris is having 2 exhibitions running now in Paris. One at the Centre Pompidou and one at Galerie Air de Paris. Went to the one at the Pompidou and it was nothing fresh as it was only a retrospective of their work. The other one is probably more interesting.

It’s raining in the dam, so I’m listening to Kyu Sakamoto. Oh and, I could also recommend this movie.
The music video for Seventeen Evergreen’s ‘Haven’t Been Yourself’. Directed by Encyclopedia Pictura, who also made the ‘Knife’ video for Grizzly Bear. Thanks Julie!

This is the statement on their site:
“We are a group of musicians who have downloaded newly leaked albums by popular artists, quickly recorded many subtle overdubs over the work, and then re-leaked it to the internet. We have done this for about three years now. We used all kinds of instruments with recording techniques that matched the audio quality of the album in question. We used a varied amount of re-leaking methods including but not limited to Soulseek, OiNK, The Pirate Bay, Limewire and zipped files hosted on sites like YouSendIt or Mediafire with links spread out on hundreds of message boards. Our turn over time was usually very small so often our version of the artist’s album was online for download within hours of its original leak. If you illegally download music on the internet the chances that our work is in your collection is very, very likely! In fact, you might have a whole lot of us!”
Haha.. hoax or no hoax, that is still some statement. Check their blog for their complete manifesto. Thanks to our friend Claus for the link.

Was checking out the music of Stateless a while ago, not quite sure if it’s my cup of tea to be honest. But then I found this Pilooski remix and got pretty hooked to it. Thought it’s perfect for January nights. With a book, day/night dreaming or maybe dancing restlessly by yourself at 3 in the morning.
In the mid 90’s Swiss-based cigarette company Parisienne, asked some well-known directors to make a bunch of ads series entitled “Parisienne People”. The one up there is directed by David Lynch. There’s also some fish in it.
